Front desk FAQ from the questions you hear
Updated
Problem it solves
The answers are in your head. The website and the Google listing still do not have them.
Best tool
- ChatGPT (free chat)
- Claude (free chat)
- Gemini (free chat)
- Copilot (free chat)
The free chat is enough for one draft. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and the free Microsoft Copilot chat can each do this. A paid plan only helps if you hit a usage limit. Copilot inside Word, Excel, or Outlook is a separate paid Microsoft 365 feature. You do not need it to try this once.
Copy-paste prompt
List the 20 questions my front desk gets most. Write a short, accurate answer for each, and mark which ones should go to a person. Questions you already hear: [paste them, or write "I did not paste any, so do not invent questions"]
Replace every [bracket]. If you cannot fill one, delete that line.
Example output
A usable draft is a tight FAQ. Each answer is something you would say at the counter. Questions with money, safety, or a complaint are marked for a person.
Tips
- The X queue for 16 Oct 2026 introduces this as a five-minute exercise. That figure is an estimate in the draft post, not a timed result. Checking the answers takes longer than generating them.
- The queue says to check every answer, then put them on your website and Google listing. The checking is the step that matters.
Time saved
Estimate: a first draft can be quick. The social draft called this five minutes. Plan on longer once you check every answer against what you really tell people.
How to use it
- Copy the prompt. Copy the prompt on this page into a free chat.
- Fill every bracket. Replace each [bracket] with a fact from your own notes. If you cannot fill one, delete that line instead of guessing.
- Edit before you use it. Read the draft against your notes. Delete any price, date, name, or promise you did not supply. You decide what gets sent.
Where this came from
