Four Google Business Profile posts

Updated

Problem it solves

The Google profile goes quiet. You need a few posts that match the business, not a daily content machine.

Best tool

  • ChatGPT (free chat)
  • Claude (free chat)
  • Gemini (free chat)
  • Copilot (free chat)

The free chat is enough for one draft. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and the free Microsoft Copilot chat can each do this. A paid plan only helps if you hit a usage limit. Copilot inside Word, Excel, or Outlook is a separate paid Microsoft 365 feature. You do not need it to try this once.

Copy-paste prompt

Write four Google Business Profile posts for this month. Each under 80 words. Each must use one update from the list. If I gave fewer than four updates, write fewer posts. Do not invent an event or a sale.

Business: [name]
Town: [town]
Updates that are true: [list]
What a customer should do next: [call, book, or visit]

Replace every [bracket]. If you cannot fill one, delete that line.

Template

Post 1 — [update]
[words]
Next step: [action]

Post 2:
Post 3:
Post 4:
Skip a post if the update is not true that week.

Download saves a .txt file. gbp-posts.txt

Example output

A usable draft is up to four short posts, each tied to an update you listed, with a next step you can fulfill.

Tips

  • Post them yourself on the weeks they are true. A post about a special that ended is worse than no post.
  • Do not promise that posting four times will change where you rank. This page does not claim that.

Time saved

Estimate: four short posts are a few minutes once the updates are real. Inventing updates is not time saved. Do not do it.

How to use it

  1. Copy the prompt. Copy the prompt on this page into a free chat.
  2. Fill every bracket. Replace each [bracket] with a fact from your own notes. If you cannot fill one, delete that line instead of guessing.
  3. Edit before you use it. Read the draft against your notes. Delete any price, date, name, or promise you did not supply. You decide what gets sent.
