Repetitive checks to look at

Updated

Problem it solves

Some checks are the same every time. You want a list of candidates before anyone talks you into a sensor.

Best tool

  • ChatGPT (free chat)
  • Claude (free chat)
  • Gemini (free chat)
  • Copilot (free chat)

The free chat is enough for one draft. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and the free Microsoft Copilot chat can each do this. A paid plan only helps if you hit a usage limit. Copilot inside Word, Excel, or Outlook is a separate paid Microsoft 365 feature. You do not need it to try this once.

Copy-paste prompt

List 5 repetitive inspection or quality-check tasks in my shop that AI vision or sensors could handle, ranked by time saved: [describe operation]

Replace every [bracket]. If you cannot fill one, delete that line.

Example output

A usable draft is a list of repetitive checks from your description, with a note on what still needs a person. Ignore any hours or percentages the draft invents.

Tips

  • The prompt asks for a ranking by time saved. If the draft assigns hours you did not measure, cross them out.
  • A list is not a quote for a camera system.

Time saved

Estimate: describing the operation is the work you already know. Reading a ranked list is short. The ranking itself is not a measurement.

How to use it

  1. Copy the prompt. Copy the prompt on this page into a free chat.
  2. Fill every bracket. Replace each [bracket] with a fact from your own notes. If you cannot fill one, delete that line instead of guessing.
  3. Edit before you use it. Delete any time-saved figure you did not measure yourself.
