Steps from the door to the snack
Updated
Problem it solves
You cannot hand a step to software until you can see the step. Walk the order before you buy a kiosk pitch.
Best tool
- ChatGPT (free chat)
- Claude (free chat)
- Gemini (free chat)
- Copilot (free chat)
The free chat is enough for one draft. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and the free Microsoft Copilot chat can each do this. A paid plan only helps if you hit a usage limit. Copilot inside Word, Excel, or Outlook is a separate paid Microsoft 365 feature. You do not need it to try this once.
Copy-paste prompt
List every step a visitor takes to buy a coffee and a snack in our cafe, and mark which steps a person still has to do: [describe the cafe]
Replace every [bracket]. If you cannot fill one, delete that line.
Example output
A usable draft is the path you described, in order, with a mark on steps a person still has to do. It should not add a robot where you still need a person.
Tips
- Describe your counter, not a chain you saw in an airport.
- Payment, allergies, and a guest who needs help stay with a person unless you have a real reason otherwise.
Time saved
Estimate: walking the counter once and writing it down is the exercise. The draft just cleans the list. Budget a short break, not a project plan.
How to use it
- Copy the prompt. Copy the prompt on this page into a free chat.
- Fill every bracket. Replace each [bracket] with a fact from your own notes. If you cannot fill one, delete that line instead of guessing.
- Edit before you use it. Read the draft against your notes. Delete any price, date, name, or promise you did not supply. You decide what gets sent.
