How Charleston contractors use AI to stop losing jobs in follow-up

How many estimates did you send last month that nobody followed up on?

For most service businesses, that’s where work gets lost. Not on the job. In the inbox afterward.

Three local examples

LimRic Plumbing, Heating & Air connected Hatch to ServiceTitan. Estimate follow-ups and after-job check-ins go out by text, email and voicemail until the customer replies. Hatch reports LimRic closed 30% more deals with 50% less follow-up time. Those are the vendor’s numbers.

Renoverse AI, a Mount Pleasant startup, lets builders and designers dictate job-site notes. The app logs them, reads photos of handwritten memos and drafts follow-up emails. The founder says small builders lose 14 hours a week to admin.

Charleston Telecom Solutions in Summerville built Allsio to triage after-hours calls instead of paying an answering service. Emergencies go to the on-call person. Everything else waits for morning.

Start with follow-up

You don’t need new software to test this. Take one estimate that went quiet. Ask an AI tool to write four short messages: a text, an email, another text and a voicemail script. Friendly, no pressure.

Send them yourself over two weeks and see what happens. If it works, then look for a tool that connects to the CRM you already use.

The full list of home service examples, each with a source and a prompt you can copy, is on the home services page.
